The London Spitfire are excited to share the news that Robin Lee has been promoted to the role of General Manager. Former Spitfire General Manager Susie Kim is taking a new leadership role as Director of Youth Esports Education and Training across the entire Cloud9 organization.
Robin moves into the General Manager role after more than three years with Cloud9. He began his career at Cloud9 working closely with League of Legends World Champion and 2018 Coach of the Year Han-Gyu “Reapered” Bok, before moving into the role of Team Manager of the Overwatch League 2018 World Champions, London Spitfire.
Susie joined the London Spitfire in April of the inaugural season of the Overwatch League, and helped lead the team to their historic championship. Susie’s unique experiences have perfectly led her to her new role with Cloud9, including time working in Esports Partnerships at Twitch in Korea, seven years as a professional educator, and a Masters degree in ELT and Applied Linguistics from King’s College London.
“Both Susie and Robin had a tremendous impact on our team and helped us cement our legacy as champions in the inaugural season. Robin’s experience and success with Cloud9 gives us confidence in his assuming Spitfire GM duties, allowing Susie to pioneer this critically important initiative for Cloud9. We’re blessed to have a deeply talented and passionate team at Cloud9, and are excited to see both Robin and Susie’s growth in these new roles.” -- Jack Etienne, Co-Founder and CEO of London Spitfire & Cloud9
We’re all excited to see the incredible initiatives to come from both Susie and Robin in 2019!
