Susie starts her next chapter with the Spitfire after a storied esports career that has seen her work as on-stage talent across Starcraft and League of Legends before moving to help Twitch establish presence in the South Korean market. She’s worked as a translator and player manager for some of the finest esports professionals, and thus is a natural fit for us at the Spitfire.
As a bilingual Korean-American, Susie is perfectly placed to help cater to the needs of the Spitfire squad as they continue their personal and professional development in the inaugural season of the Overwatch League. Her love for Overwatch and passion for esports is abundantly clear and we’re sure she will slot comfortably into her new role here at the Spitfire.
Susie “lilsusie” Kim commented:
“After many years of having been part of the esports community in various capacities, I am super excited to be the new GM for the London Spitfire! Given my esports background and love for the players, Spitfire is a great fit for me. Also, I have fond memories of living and studying in London having completed my Masters degree at King’s College. Representing such a great city in the Overwatch League makes it personally meaningful.
I feel that the organisation shares many of my ideals in developing teams and players, and I am excited to see how we can grow their newest brand together.”
Jack Etienne, CEO of London Spitfire commented:
“We’re delighted to have Susie join the team in the role of General Manager. With her vast experience in esports there’s no one better to fill the role and we feel she will slot into our setup with ease.”
